Headgasket

Just a quick question to everyone who has made a high horsepower pull, want to kno if your running the stock headgasket or aftermarket. manily the guys who have boosted over 28psi. thanx

Big thing is make sure you get some ARP head studs. Some get stock gaskets and some get cometic.

And also make sure ur not boosting that high on stock turbo or u'll have other issues

U will be fine. I boost 27/28 psi stock motor.

im an lsj but i boost 29-30psi...arp headstuds and a cosmetic headgasket jus make sure u retorque the headstuds after the first heat cycle and a small drive and check them once in awhile to make sure there still good

u boost that on stock turbo?? if u are, ur ring lands will be gone shortly. this has been a big discussion on here when people first started boosting past 24 psi stock turbo. stock turbo is efficient to about 24ish psi, then it just produces a buttload of heat. if i was u, if u are on stock turbo, dial it down asap

im not that high in hp compared to others here but im in the 420 to 430whp range and im on the stocker

Currently running 24psi and ethanol. Bone stock engine. When I was having wastegate issues it saw well over 30psi -_- although it was very brief lol

People r so obsessed with this 24psi rule....u can spike the ko4 30psi u just cant sustain it...just make sure u have proper enrichment and timing...but no i am running the zzp s256et kit.

as per my other threads, motor being rebuilt bottom up, zzp trans, full turbo swap PTE5857, worrying bout blowing the stock head gasket when i get tuned i just brought ARP studs from a fellow css mbr, looking to see wut the turbo can really do im lookin for 540whp when its all said and done, but would like to see a pull on race fuel to see what my build is capable of.
