Headrest

Anyone know how to get the headrest off 09 ss tc. In the way of the helmet with my big head

I figured it out. You have to pull the 2 plastic covers off the rods and push in the spring loaded clip things and it pops right up

i have to replace my seatbelt guide thing it finally snapped so can you explain how to take the headrest off i havent tried yet other than pushing the button and pulling and that didnt work.

Theres a hidden button on the other side. Pop off the little plastic cover and theres another button on it. Push them both in at the same time while pushing up on the headrest and it comes right out.

are the tcs differnet then other cobalt seats? i know the ss seats you have to push a pin in a little hole to release them

You should not remove the headrest. In fact, you'll fail any reasonable tech inspection if you do.

^ and the seatbelt thing is held on by a couple of push nuts. Pliers should do the trick.

The headrest interfers with my helmet even with the seat tilted back. Cant tilt it back anymore without making operating the car impossible. I guess thats what I get for being 6 ft 2 300 Lbs and having a XXL helmet. Im going to look at getting another headrest and slightly bending the rods to give me and extra 1&1/2 clearance.
