View My Video Here is my car. I just got my map sensor replaced hoping it would help my boost issue. Third gear pull, boost to 30 maybe 40kpa at best, flutter and no power gain...i let my foot off the gas at the end of my pull so its not like it completely shuts the power off...... but The more i try, the less i boost each time. Kind of smells when i get out of the car after trying. What you think. Guys? also sorry about the video quality i thought it would be much better.

**note: ive had the car for like 15 days. The second day i got it, i did a pull from second gear. It went to 5,000rpm and then the power just dropped. there was no noise, just lost the acceleration. Still worked fine after (aside from less power) but had a boost issue ever since.

Thats wastegate pressure.

Check to see if your WG is stuck open. mine was boosting to 6 psi, or 40 kpa until I swapped my WG Solenoid around.

do a smoke test then a pressure test.

my case: a guy sold my a charge pipe and he put the instruction Inside the pipe. i cannot even see it.
the car pull a p0299 3 month after. and GM has changed my k04 Under warranty. I found out 2 week after it that it was paper who blocked the hot side of my IC.

Haha, new turbo, nothing wrong with that tho right? aside from the down time/wasted time trying to find the problem.

Louee, you need to learn to do the most common test associated with a turbo car: the boost leak test. See my sig. You'll need a source of compressed air, though.
Until you get that going, you can try a visual check of all of your piping and the intercooler. It sounds like you just popped a pipe out of the clamp when you let off the gas. It is very hard to detect a boost leak visually, though. It might look something like this:

If you remove the splash guards around the intercooler end-tanks, it makes it easier to see. You'll get a view like this:

Size: 68.2 KB

If you take off your bumper cover, you will get the best view of everything. If your intercooler cracked on you, it probably cracked here:

Then you'll have to run the pressure test.

The WG is on the turbo, underneath it. best bet is to get under the car and then look there.

You can clean it with maf cleaner

Also make sure none of the hoses are off or torn.

Check the wastegate rod leading to the exhaust housing to see if the bolts are missing.
