Ok, last month I had symptoms of a bad alternator on my 08 cobalt ss, wasn't charging then would randomly charge so I had it test and it was deemed bad. After a month of waiting for one to come im(ac delco) I installed my new one yesterday. As i was driving the car today, i heard a popping sound from the radio. Then my ABS, and TCS system shut off and the lights came on. After i drove a half mile more, the airbag light came on, brake light, then the power steering shut down. I drove further to get to a parking lot and then all the gauges shut off and so did the radio. I came to a stop right before I found a parking lot and the car began to sputter as I was trying to accelerate again. I had the car dropped off at a mechanic since I'm at a loss and have no time. Does anyone know what the issue could be or has anyone ecountered this before.

 

Ya, ur batt is probably shot to. Bad battery, kills altinators. If ur batt was bad it probably killed ur altinator, and it will again if u don't change it. I had weird issues like that. Got the battery tested , they said it was fine, but it lasted like 10 minutes with the car not running , so I got an optima yellow toP, problems solved
