Help with faulty 5th gear
Help with faulty 5th gear
FIRST_ when going into 5th gear i have to almost throw it in there's no grinding our any noise its just hard to get in i have a few bolt ons and HPT tuned made 338whp and 372wtq could this be that my clutch is finally going out ? if so i can get my hands on a CLUTCH MASTER easily is this a good brand to go with ?
Take a look at the shift cable braket on top of the trans. See if its cracked or if one of the bolts is loose. If the braket is compromised in any way, you can't get the torque required to shift into gear properly.
I have no experience with Clutch Masters so I can not comment on it. I have a KY 6 puck clutch. It has held well but I won't buy another one if I ever replace it. The squeaks it makes every time I leave a stopped position are driving me mad.
