Help please! Terrible wobble.. Then went away..
No the dealership did it. The kid who had it before me melted gears together and burnt the driveline up. So he had the dealership put a whole new drivetrain in minus axle and bearings.
I can go try but I know it will shake under a 3rd pull at 50. I'm taking it to a shop tom to.see if they see anything wrong with the steering components. I'm leaning towards the rack so ill have them check it. Everyone says the SS rack is stout tho so Idk.

Putting it on a dyno and checking it out that way.
Umm idk about any of the steering components man. Like tie rods, end links, rack, etc. doesn't have any rotating mass you know what I'm saying. Hope fully I'll have an axle by this week. Praying!!
Yea try it and let me know. When I do it it's TERRRIBLE I mean TERRIBLE! like the whole cabin just shakes to ****. I was thinking about

Try this and see if this switches the vibation side, take you driver cv axle and put it on the passenger side. Then put the pass on the driver. If it switches then you know which axle is bad. If no change its a different issue. Do the same with wheel bearings.
I dont want to kill you hope on the axles but I'm kinda pissed at myself for already replacing them. I also draind the tranny and no metal shavings came out so that at least gives me a little hope the diff is good.
Yea I understand but if those steering parts were bad they would have slack. Load under low rpms is more stressful than going fast at high rpms were its not fighting to make power easy. That struggle to make torque on the low end could reflect back into the steering components weak leak. Sounds hard to understand but my I'M shaft and diff are the only other parts left to rule out.

When you turn the wheel from left to right all the way do you hear a continuous pop noise? Like as your turning to the right/left standing still it will be like pop.....pop......pop..pop. Lol.. Not tol good at explaining stuff
Yeah they are the same.
Yea the axles are the same. If you want an upgraded axle then id say its worth it but try swapping the axles but be careful not to tear **** up when you swap them. Never pull on them. Get behind the axle and pop the snap ring out and don't pry on the seal. Plus you'll notice if there shavings or something funny when you pull your driver axle.
I hear more of a clunk... Not a click.
About the mounts, I ruled them out because you notice different symptoms. More directed towards wheel hop. And just banging under the hood. Not to mention you shifter probably bounce with it. I have poly mounts and my shifter is still stiff even in 4th with me hold pressure against. But check em out, you never know

Just be careful and its not a problem. I'm just suggesting cheap alternatives than throw money at problems. If it is an axle, awesome, but what if not. He's got a new one but still, he needs to eliminate problems. I'm drunk and rambling but I can't drive cuz my cars broke down so why not lol

didnt take the time to read if u found the problem ..but for ***** and giggles i had something similar a few weeks ago..sh** my pants thinking it was my axle..drove it home at like 10 mph ..got home and turned out i lost a f***ing bolt that connects the lower strut to the knuckle(chamber bolt?) ..thought it was pretty funny and noted that i need to get an alignment more often and check my torque specs lol
You know ..... this almost sounds like a steering componet...... My car shakes what sounds like my IM-shaft sometimes when doing a 2nd gear pull ...... it shakes for a split second right before the tires start to spin. Car also seems like its started to get darty in some of the grooves in the roads and torque steer has started to become an issue ...... I cant complain thou .... I'm on my 5th set of tires in 50K miles lol..
[QUOTE=seeyaass;6756435]Well your cara driveable.. Lol but don't drive either way. Don't. Want a DUI.[/QUOTE
Haha no way, got a broken car and a dd. Can't afford parts so why pay for a dui lol. I'm going to figure this out tom

So today it started to wobble real bad. And making a crunching notice as I'm drivin could be this axle or the trans. A crunching noise that went with the feeling of the wobble.. Getting a little worried
check your engine frame bolts, then check all engine and trans mounts, check the axles for play or movement, check everything again - every bolt you touched when installing the transmission - its possible you didn't tighten something or didn't install something back on engine/transmission..
for the car to shake like crazy, something isn't tight or torqued correctly.. having play in the axle will shake the car but not a hard shake, it would be a lite shake..
the last thing you may have to do is drop the transmission out and install it again..
if your still not sure call me i'll come over and take a look.. your only 40min from me..

This is the drivers side axle. This is play moving it up and down z not side to side.. I def think its the axle.

I just took it to my friend who does high end suspensions on exotic cars and he's stumped. He's about to put it on the rack to check. You think the tranny is having issues? It seems like its operating smooth.

Can you see the vd? And a lot of movement up and down not side to side. The passenger side has no movement up and down which is how it's supposed to be. A very little movement side to side.

Watch the vid and tell me what you think.

Ok just had my friends shop look at it. It's a combination of things.
1. My clutch was resurfaced, not replaced and had hot spots that the clutch had a hard time biting against.
2. This caused wear on my pressure plate springs and bent arms.
This makes sense when I press the clutch to release that it instantly cures the wobble.
This sucks, anyone recommend any good clutches, and strong lightweight flywheel for roadcoursing?
