So ZZP guys im a maybe 10 times down the track a year guy.... the 252 kit and the clutch to hold it always on street tires, can iu safely run 25 or 27psi on the comp mode tune? referring to the dual mode u offer.

There won't be a need for 27 psi for most of the cobalt owners. I am going to prolly run 25psi and am hoping for 450 or maybe a little more on a dyno jet that I put down 309 on in the spring.

what cmiller said...you wont need 27psi if your on a street car......i wouldnt even push that on stock internals...like the op is building the motor so he shouldnt have issues sustaining high psi.

the kit comes set for 25 psi.... i didn't think 27 would be a problem. I have heard of people running the stock turbo at 27-30 until 4k then tapering off to redline, thats why i thought it would be ok. Also i Thought I read somewhere on this site that ZZP had gotten 500hp out of the stock bottom.....

at 27 psi from this turbo you are making way more power. ZZP did make over 500whp but when the motor was taken apart there was bent rods, but to me, I think they bent at a different time because I would think they would break and not bend. They also reved the 256 out to 8000rpms. The 252 will be done making power at 7000 but I will rev it to around 74-7500. As long as you have a good tune and don't have a big boost spike I think the motor will live for awhile at 27psi and close to 500whp but others say 430-450, I guess we will find out lol.

My car is not practical at 27psi. It either spins the tires or torque steers real hard. I prefer to keep it at 24psi on the street. If you have HP Tuners, you can modify our file to dial in boost by gear and RPM to avoid having a useless amount of power in first and second gear.

This makes me want your kit even more. I was wondering if we could do a Boost by gear tune. A kid at my school has an RSX with 550whp and he has boost by gear, it seems really helpful. So would you still do a tune with Trifecta for the fuel issues, then retune with HP tuners? or is the fuel issue fixed without needing trifecta?

Yup. We get a few mods and tweaks from Trifecta and then we adjust what we can in HPT.

Hey Matt did you guys do any dyno testing on low pressure like 14-15 psi? and what is the max pressure you would run the s252 at considering I have a forged motor I want the max power the s252 can deliver? thanks
