On the first review of the SS/TC I read it said it can hit as high as 21 to make the 260 tq. Not sure if that's true or not.

It depends on the weather and altitude mainly. In the summer i've hit 19psi and in the winter as low as 13psi. The car was still faster in the winter on the 13psi

Of course you can hit more.. Hence my question I asked if whether you are looking for safe/reliable higher boost numbers or just crazy boost numbers.... because you can technically pump 30psi out of that bad boy.. turbo might not last you very long if you constantly boost it that hard, but it can be done

Definitely safe and reliable. Got to make this car last 5-6 years.

You could probably run 21-22psi pretty reliably.. The stage 1 will be producing 21psi or so.. I just wouldn't push it to full boost constantly every time you drive it.. No one really knows how long these turbos will last in these cars just yet

You'll see higher boost at higher altitude and temperature (among some other things). That's crazy you're seeing that in DFW. I'm there sometimes and never see anything quite that high. I've been in mid-19psi before once after some of my mods.

I've been as low as 13 and as high as 19.5. Typically it seems to be around 15.Xpsi here in Houston. Charge piping/downpipe put me in the 17-19 range until it learned down. The K&N Drop-In pushed it back up to the low 16-17 range until it learned down again.

Mine is weird in the fact that sometimes it will do a mid-pull spike. I've got video of me up against some bolted and tuned GTI and you can see it sticking to 15-16 and after an NLS it went to 18-19 and I started pulling on the guy until it went back to 15-16. Don't know why that happened.

I'm at a point where the stage is set for a tune and the pull will be bonkers after that I bet.

I'm in the same boat. I know with a tune I'll be night and day faster. Shopping downpipes and charge pipes now.

a tune is like night and day over stock.. it's definitely pretty bad ass.. That GTI wouldn't stand a praying chance against you at that point especially with the bolt-ons that you have..
