How to Oil Forge BPV O-ring?

I searched here, the other TC forum and the how to forum didn't find any info.

I had a question do you have to remove the Forge BPV to oil the O ring inside? I understand that might be the easiest, but don't want to mess the threads up by removing the 3 bolt everytime ( every oil change). Can you unscrew the outside and slide it out that way? Also what kind of oil is needed for this?

Thank you

Just ignore the part about the stiffer spring. I'm on the softer one. Switched to it after a day, and never looked back.

It needs to be disassembled and greased once in a while. Mobil 1 synthetic grease. Not oil. Mine's starting to sound like it needs to be cleaned and re-greased. Made it about 9 months. It'll flutter once in a while when stone cold. Doesn't do that if it's cleaned and properly greased.

They're not service free! Forge's UK site even has directions on how to do this, and they recommend Mobil's red synthetic grease.

Also that stick of grease should last you pretty much forever. I have some and use it on all kinds of stuff. It sucks to wash off your hands though, use gloves

Straight from someone who works @ Forge Motorsports USA

NASIOC - View Single Post - Forge BOV. How often does it need to be re-greased?

We highly discourage the use of any kind of Lithium grease, WD-40, motor oil or any type of lubricant other than a fully synthetic automotive grease. We supply the valves with Mobil1 in them, so this is what we would normally recommend using. If it is not readily available to you, any equivalent will work.
