HP change with AC on?

Might seem like a silly question, but the thought occured to me so I have to ask.

As we are all aware, with our engine computers the peak boost levels vary in order to reach our factory power levels.

The question I have though is whether or not this goes into effect while the AC is running. With other cars, having the AC on will yield a drop of a few hp.

Even though it is a minimal amount of power required to run the AC compressor, does the engine cpu take that drain into account by adding additional boost to compensate?

Thanks

No, it just disables the a/c either after a specific rpm or when you go wide open throttle.

is there proof of this or are we using 'common knowledge' about this? I would like to know the truth or proof of this on the cobalts.

The A/C automatically disables itself at high full throttle. Cars have been doing this for years now. It's nothing new that needs to be proved.
