What oil are you running and what was the code causing the need for a replacement?

I hope ur running 4718 certified royal purple, if not drain it out of ur car right now and get proper oil. I destroyed a cam lobe using royal purple 5w30 full synthetic but not 4718 certified. engine started ticking a week after I put it in. the result, new motor.

Expensive as pumps too. Just buy an aftermarket pump thats stronger you dont need a tune to run it iirc

Like others have said, I would never run royal purple again even if someone paid me. About a week after putting the GM certified stuff, I wound up with a pretty substantial hole in my block. Before that it caused some funky things to happen with the car.

its interesting how u can search google and find so many storys from so many people with different cars, mostly boosted, that have pretty much the same storys as us. I would never touch that crap. I use mobile 1 or even better penzoil platinum. both have worked awesome in my car.

u know if I was planning on getting say a new motor that was built, I would purposely put royal purple in my current one and drive around for a month just to prove what **** it is, and document it with video.
