Hurst STS for LNF?
Hurst STS for LNF?
Been doing some looking/planning for what to do in the spring so I know how much money I will need... used to have a Hurst in my old camaro and loved it, but it seems like all of them I see are only for LSJ's? are they the same on an LNF?
Would I be better off just doing a set of billet bushings from OTTP on my stock shifter?
I would love a TWM but dont want to dish out that type of cash.... unless maybe their standard shifter will bolt right in? Do you really need their extra clamp thing? Can you reuse your stock shift boot?
Thanks!

yes, you can reuse the same boot, and you don't need to get the cable clamp. Its just nice knowing that yours isnt going to break on you in the middle of no where. and im not for sure about the Hurst, but i think i remember reading something about the reverse lockout not working on them or something but someone can correct me if im wrong on that.
Reverse lockout works fine on the LNF with the Hurst shifter.... Just like any other shifter you may have to adjust the shifter cables a bit, which is a simple process.

You haven't been doing a lot of reading then.
I'd sell it if I had a perfect stock LNF shifter to put in. The shift knob on mine pretty much got destroyed taking it off.

TWM is the way to go for me! Lock out and mine has the upgraded shift clamp so that alone made TWM worth it for me. I heard Hurst has rear lock out issues.
Hmm, gee. Everyone got all up in my ass when I posted something negative.

I don't know what B&M is, never heard if it or seen it, but I have 0 regret with my TWM. Like I said earlier, it's the shift link clamp that I love plus how it looks. Granted I don't like the knob that much (due to weather) but I ordered the phantom knob and hopefully will be enjoying that here in a bit.
Does B&M offer a cable clamp? I'm assuming you can just use TWM clamp with any shifter though

Thanks for the info/opinions guys!
Vahdyx, if my may ask what do you mean "you dont like the knob due to weather" ?? Im guessing it has something to do with winter? which I would be very curious about as lake effect sucks here in West MI

I just noticed that the reverse lockout tab on the picture that he posted today looks nothing at all like the reverse lockout on the TWM that I have. I wonder if they redesigned it at some point? It is *THE* reason that I hate my TWM so much.
