I need some input

I have an 09 SS turbo and I'm purchasing a catless dp this Thursday. I want to get a tune after that, right now I'm on gms1 tune w/sensors and stage 3 clutch, other mods don't really matter for the tune right now. So I'm staying with premium fuel, and I have a warranty. Now, zzp PCM says dealers can't tell that it's a zzp PCM and I'll be okay with my warranty at that point. My question is, if i were to get my gms1 computer tuned by term2 would the dealership be able to tell?
I tried using the search button but it's hard to find anything on a mobile phone so I would really appreciate for some respectable responses.

Yes they can check the flash count. Some cars come stock with 3-4 flashed already though so as long as its under 5 i say its not suspicious. If youre worries about it buy a second pcm and tune that one.

I'll probably just order the zzp PCM and send my gms1 PCM back.

I wouldn't do that if I were you. Their canned tunes are notorious for having issues and without a custom tune, you really aren't getting the full potential of the car. Best to find a remote tuner and like slowbalt said, just get a second PCM

It should still complete those tests. The pcm he swaps will be able to do the same things as the original, just have a different tune on it

The ECU has to go through a long drive cycle to complete those tests. So when you change out the ECU you will just have to go for a long drive and it should be fine for emissions testing.

I have a ZZP canned tune PCM and the Chevy dealer said my PCM was supposed to be in an HHR SS, and when doing the calibration for my passenger presence module, they told me the VIN that the PCM had stored did not match my VIN.

But if your taking the car for example if it brakes down then your screwed because you cant drive the car and yeah you would have to change the vin on it as well

If the car breaks down, just swap the PCM back to the stock one. It takes less than 5 minutes

What warranty?

When and why would you bring it in?

I purchased a spare ecu, for hpt, left the stock ecu (gms1) for any dealer visits....butttt I never went to the dealer since purchasing. The only time they'd look at your ecu is if you were having some engine issues. Hence, the question why are you worried about going into the dealer?

I purchased a power train warranty that's why I'd go to a dealer if anything major happened because I don't have money for major repairs, otherwise I try to stay away. and idk what the emissions thing is that you're talking about but, there are no laws for emissions in Florida so yeah.
