It shouldnt sound bad as long as you have a resonater in there.... Turbo cars sound awesome with muffler deletes and Catless DP's

 

I know, I was kinda joking. I have heard her car over the phone. It sounds pretty good. Mine is deeper and louder ( Full 3" catless no resonator). I dunno if she could hear my exhaust over the tires spinning though.

 

I dunno if I can hear either at the sound of my eyes rolling at that lame comment

Easy there Mr Clean Term is a good guy.

 

It is not a lame comment if it is true. I hit it at 30 mph and it spun to 7K in 2nd and then I shifted to 5th. I hate the traction control I almost always disable it. My ESC active light comes on sometimes from it spinning so much.

Ok so...what I gather from this is....nothing lol. I wouldn't mind my car being a lil louder, I'm totally used to it now so it doesn't sound loud. And what's this about a resonator I hear? I definitely want a DP though, and I'm considering using the one David is gonna give me.

Don't waste your time getting a catted one.

Time and money.

Stock (2.75" actually, not 2.5") catback is pretty high flowing but an odd size/almost no resonator stock.

If you want some noise, get some sort of stainless 3 inch system that has either JUST a decent sized res or a straight through oval type muffler if you are worried about sound out the ******* get the hahn, it will be quiet at first though.

 

I know I don't want Hahn, way too quiet. I don't think that free downpipe is catted tho lol, you're right I don't want to waste my time with a catted DP. So you're saying catless dp with a resonator or straight through muffler, or am I not reading this correctly lol.

Hahn does get a little louder after awhile, and I like it because

A) it fits awesome

B) it is light

Stainless isn't AS BIG OF A DEAL to you as it is me, since my car sees the awesomeness thatt is snow

So which would sound better, resonator or muffler? I'd love to get some sound clips, but all I find on here are clips of what my car has done to it already lol.

 

if your looking for a bit of a louder rumbly sound a muffler would sound better, resonator will give you a low deep quieter tone

 

So many choices...aaaahh.

 

You will get more back fires(popping) inbetween shifts with just a res and more popping on decel if the DFCO is turned off.

Just a muffler will give you a smoother sound and get rid of a lot of the popping

Either way you are in for a treat of turbo noise if you get a catless DP.

I know either way I want a catless dp, my mind is made up lol, it's just shall I go muffler? Or resonator? I need a beard I can be stroking whilst making up my mind.
