Injectors

anyone use these on there SS/TC ? are they usable on the SS/TC. it shows upto 350WHP on Supercharged and mentions upto 400WHP on Turbo, so im guessing you can. here is the link.

[edit] also if they work with our cars, do you get any HP gain from them in anyway, and do you have to tune once there on. or is it just something to help with the fuel delivery. Just want to know what to expect if i can buy them.

i think the problem is more specificaly the window of time the injector has to spray fuel into the combustion chamber right???

Im a believer that the fueling issue is not with the injector, nor the pump, but rather the programming.

The injectors can handle a lot more power then most would think.

Yup, I've read similar stuff on multiple LNF forums, I don't think you're anywhere close to maxing the injectors out stock (IDC=50-60%?) and even tuned I thought I've seen log files where people are only around an IDC of 75%? I can't find the damn links I read now but I think that's what I remember seeing.

I would agree that the fueling limit is in the tables on the ECU and not in the hardware (injectors/hi-flow or low pressure pumps/etc). It's not looking like HPT is going to unlock any of those tables in the near future though.

We can only spray fuel during the intake stroke, unlike typical fuel injected cars that spray fuel through all 4 strokes. What does programming have to do with this? We need more fuel during that small amount of time either though bigger injectors or more fuel pressure.

in order to make more than XXXhp you need to spray more fuel in the same amount if time....thats not strictly speaking a programming issue. its a delivery issue

I believe they say programming because the fuel system supposedly is capable of another 500 or so psi beyond what is does now, but the ability to adjust this is not yet available through HPT or any other tuning software.

more programmed fuel pressure in same time = more power

Yup, thats what I said basically, the thing is that outside of the now defunct GMHPVO I dont know if nobody knows for sure how much if any more fuel pressure can be commanded from the pump, its listed max is 2176psi, is that the full output of the pump, or is that just what the ECM commands as a max?

Does anybody how many degrees of cycle the actuator is commanded to at max psi? IE: does max pressure happen at something like 167degrees and it still has some usable stroke left or does the max psi come at at say 180degrees where the pump just cant be pushing more per stroke?

You can always throw an upgraded pump on there.

I guess he does not realize there are no higher flow high pressure fuel pumps for the LNF yet.
