Input Wanted!
Input Wanted!
Hey guys, as the winter pro-longs, and my paychecks keep coming in, that means more to buy for the SS/TC.
So far i have my CIA 3" Catback, and my CIA 3" Catted DP to be here in a few weeks (already ordered) just waiting for the cats to be in.
What should i order next? IC Piping (hot side only?), new rotors/pads?, GMS1?
I'm lost haha, would love to get everybodys input, on what products and where to buy from etc? I really don't think a CAI is worth it right now, plus i have a deal locally for a SRI i'm pretty sure. But nonetheless, any info would be great!
Thanks a lot!

go for the GMS1 to make your car breathe more so you get the most benefit out of your cat-system and dp, then go with hard piping to remove the restrictive factory CP to go for Injen, OTTP, Dejon, or CIA.
Only if you're concerned about your warranty! If not Trifecta or hp tune better bang for your buck. And any intake skews your maf readings and should be corrected. Your gm dealer won't be able to make the adjustments so if you're going with gms1 spend your money on something other than an intake.
gms1 ONLY if you are worried about warrenty otherwise i think its a waste and would go with trifecta or hp over it any day. if your going to get charge piping just replace both. if you purchased the cia stuff talk with dan we will probablly give you a break on it!
I have stage 1 and by spring my bolt ons minus intake will be on .I may go with a Trifecta tune on top of stage 1 because I am pretty disappointed with hp/trq #'s being reported on the forum.Only time will tell . I got this tune because it saves warrenty and gets rid of learn down to be honest am happy with it but from what I have read here bolt ons don't seem to do much .Guess I'll know for sure come spring.

I'd say go with the charge pipes first then GMS1. The stock charge pipes are known to blow and leak so why boost your output with GMS1 just to blow the shitty stock charge pipes and then have to park the car while you wait for new pipes. I'd say get the car ready first and then get GMS1. That's just my opinion although I haven't done much reading as far as the TC goes.
I'm pretty sure that i'll be ordering the GMS1 this week. Tom at CED said i'd be better off putting the GMS1 on the car then putting the bolt ons on. So obviously i wouldn't drive the car hard without having new pipes in stock etc. I'll have all pieces ready to put on anyways.
Jerren, what dealership around here is charging that for the install etc?

The dealer in new minas and Middleton. Digby didn't know what it was and said the would get back to me.
If you find a dealer willing to do it cheaper let me know. I think I'm ordering mine this week as well

Dude... that sounds like pure BS. I paid $200 at my dealer. Sounds like the dealer doesn't know how to install TMAP sensors and wiring. All it is replacing the top TMAP, which is easy. The part where the coldpipe is a pain. Rewiring the new connectors and flashing the ECU is how it gets done. That took 2 hours to do.
