Hey man.. J&M Motorsports in Manchester.. I wanted to go to him in the first place, but his shop is like an hour and 20 minutes away from me, but now I'm regretting it like a dummy.. Everyone around my area knows that Jannetty is pretty much a joke, but I was hoping he could handle a simple dyno pull.. Apparently not.. Take Friday off and take a trip up with me..

Prob not the place to ask this but I'm thinking about getting the Trifecta tune and was wondering how long does it take from the time you place the order til when you have the tune installed and ready to go? I'm fixing to go on a trip in 2 weeks and was hoping if I decide to get it would it arrive and have time to do what it takes to get everything installed on time.

tks,

You should have time but it depends how busy Vince is with tunes at the moment. Give Trifecta Performance a call at 206-595-3061 they should let you know a time frame. For an example though I had my tune on my car 4 days after ordering it.

Anyone want to buy a slightly used Superchips Cortex tuner so I can buy this

The great thing about Vince's software is that it can detect a flash-interrupted PCM, go into recovery mode, and still load the tune successfully.

(Speaking from experience here. lol)

Missouri. We call it the Bootheel but it's the little part at the very southeast bottom corner. 100 miles from everything.

The closest dealer is St. Louis. That's a good 200 mile drive. If what everybody is saying is true, it's worth it. Is it cheaper going to a dealer or just using the cable and laptop?

Ouch! It's definately worth the 80 then to drive up there. Has anyone done any business with Jason Schreves or Matt Richardson in St. Louis? Do they do the programming or does Vince do all of them?

I'm not from St. Louis but I'm not sure if anyone on here has used one of them as a dealer or not. Might take a while for an answer on that one. I'd just give both of them a call to see who sounds like they know what their doing more.

The bad thing is I dont know enough to tell if one knows more about tuning than the other. But since Vince is going to do the tune anyways, it might not matter. I hope

Is there one close to Memphis? We go there pretty often. Plus it's closer to me than St. Louis.

Yeah I really wouldn't worry about it. The only thing is I don't know how you would get the updated tunes from Vince when going through a dealer. If the dealer was close then it wouldn't be a problem. But after I datalog and send them to Vince, it usually takes at least a day to get the updated tune. So I don't know if you would keep having to run up there or not. Just pointing that out because it might just be cheaper to go with the tune from your house if you are going to be spending a lot of gas money and time running back and forth from your house to St. Louis.

us dealers can hold a slotted time with vince and do the datalogging/tune tweaks within minutes because we have him on the phone, send him the datalog, then he tweaks it and sends it back right away.. thats what im doing for this guy while he's on the dyno

True. That's why I was hoping for something closer. Like Memphis. It's only about 1 1/2 hours away and my wife loves shopping there. We go there at least twice a month.

They wouldn't be able to do the datalogging and tweaking in that one trip?

Yeah I was always wondering how that worked. That's good that Vince works with you right away to get you set. I figured you would just have to be in and out of your local shop getting tweaks.

I didn't say they could not, I just wasn't sure. But yeah they can get everything worked out in one trip. Heres a list of Trifecta dealers. http://www.trifectaperformance.com/dealers.aspx

Thanks for the info. Good to know that a dealer can do it in one trip.

Ummm, is this for real? I installed this tune a little bit ago and OH MY! I forgot about the comp mode button for a few minutes while test driving and I though to myself "what is the bigdeal about this tune". I may have noticed a few gains from my dp, but that was it. And then, OOOOOHH! I gotta press the magic button. So I pushed it and dropped my foot on the accellerator and BAM, a smile hit me so hard from ear to ear that I found it difficult to keep a straight face!LOL during the entire test drive!I am curious as to how I will react after datalogging. Someone might have to put me in a straight jacket for being giddy and laughing hysterically with joy!
