Intake Camshaft Sensor.....any GM techs out there?

So a while back there was a lot of talk on here about the Intake Camshaft Sensor on our engines leaking oil. I know a lot of people, myself included, got the sensor replaced under warranty. I know a lot of people's have begun leaking again. I checked mine today and it's as wet, if not more, than it originally was with oil.

Does anybody know if GM has come out with a permanent fix for this yet? Anybody on here a GM tech with some better info? Im planning on bringing mine back into my dealer just so its on record that its still a problem. Its really saturated with oil and thats ridiculous for a new car.

So what did you replace? The gasket and seal? Supposedly my dealer replaced the sensor....its been probably 3-4mos and now its leaking again.

the high pressure fuel pump is rite above the camshaft sensor. where that bolts in is a gasket and inside is like an O-ring seal. thats what you need to tell your dealer to replace. it leaks from there down to the camshaft sensor

No there is no news from GM, and YES it is the Intake Cam Position sensor on probably 95% of cars, RTV fixes it.

My high pressre fuel pump gasket was leaking too. I used black RTV on it and it no longer leaks. I also did my cam sensor too. Finally, no more oil leaks on this thing.
