my catless on stock cat back has a good sound, its kind of quiet until you start making boost then it has a nice growl to it, and when you let off the gas it sounds like a race car popping, and crackling back down to idle(i think it sounds mean)

I had a cobalt with a catless downpipe and stock exhaust, now I have a cobalt with a catless downpipe and a muffler delete. Its loud.
