Introducing Trifecta ECP- BIG NEWS
Hey Stamina, when you get a chance please post some logs with the DashDaq. I would greatly appreciate it.
What people need to see in those guys that are HPtuned asking questions is that we only would like to help and make sure that everything is running great in the car is all. I don't think anyone is wishing to attack what Trifecta has done. I think knowing that you have even "The other guys" from "The other side" wanting to look and check things out for you is actually beneficial for you guys.
I think it's a great idea, hope it does work but until I've seen something to actually prove it, its just theory, so until substantial evidence of this can be posted by a Trifecta customer/dealer or **** even Vince how do we know it really works? This was also posted in another forum by the guy that posted a Pic of the Sonata few pages back. He announced the same thing and when asked(his friend Brent) to show data this is what was posted:
Speed density tuning no MAff needed
I will say that he does make valid points in being limited in what little info(as a customer) he can see. That unfortunately is just how it is with Trifecta. Now the last post you can see an interesting link that you guys might want to read and can shed light to this subject.

40rty: What were you needing me to log? I'm not on the ECP tune anymore due to my altered VE throwing things off; It doesn't work for me.
I wouldn't even say it's a Trifecta issue. It's honestly an HPT issue. If it was a Trifecta issue then all the scan gauges people use would be affected too. The problem lies with the OS ID changing (just like other brands of tunes). Due to the OS ID changing, HPT doesn't recognize the vehicle to know what is monitor-able. I can scan/monitor/log every PID shown on the stock tune, on the Trifecta tune, because the gauge doesn't care about OS ID.

No, no reply. After reading the link from Stamina, I'm gonna pass until I get more info.... speed density tuning needs constant retune for environmental variables: pressure, elevation, humidity, etc...I need to know that there are auto-adjustments for these variables using the wideband o2, iat, etc...car will go boom otherwise
Yea wen i was trifecta tuned with the efr i wanted to run a bov couse i was having issues with the efr bpv so i installed it and asked vince if i can get the ecp tune and he wouldnt do it couse i had a bigger turbo... but he told me that the car should run fine running both hks and the stock bpv.. Well let me tell u it ran like complete crap, crazy backfires, and bogging... i disconnected the hks ran the stock bpv and got hp tuned lol
I understand that people here are tuned by Vince and experiences vary, but Vince putting out a "ECP tune" and saying it works yet no data being displayed is....yet again unbelievable. That's all Im asking for, I know there are some Trifecta tune cars that are running great. Just give me data. Didn't Vince just hire a guy to deal with customers? Can Vince prt screen some info? Charts? Graphs?
It's not speed density tuning guys, we aren't disabling the MAF. You won't need to get retuned for humidity or anything like that. The MAF still needs to be hooked up so it can read humidity, IAT, etc.
I think that it would be great if you could coordinate with Vince to setup some test or something and have you guys conduct it.
So any updates with this? I have the ecp file waiting to be put on. Not wanting to put it on if it will destory something down the road. Im using damastahs cable so its not something I can switch back to my stock tune in a day if something goes wrong. Hes about 3hrs from me
