Just curious... What's your input?
So HPTuners came out with new parameters unlocked for the amazing LNF. So I got to tinkering, playing, learning and finally doing a set tune.
First, my currrent mods: I have Dejon upper and lower charge pipes, Gutted stock DP, K&N SRI, gapped new stock AC Delco plugs to .032 and the FORGE BPV. I've had all these mods on for a while (probably 15,000 miles).
Now this new tune I have taken a lot of time to get right and I've been happy with the results so far. I'm just looking around to get everyones input and to see what you all have to say about what I've done, doing and am planning to go.
After street and dyno tuning I was putting down 318WHP and 381WTQ... dialed back a little to around 310-ish WHP and 361WTQ because boost was spiking up to 29-30PSI! I have the boost ramping up from 18PSI and then it'll peak to about 25PSI... as RPM's climb it'll hover 23-ish and tapper off to about 20PSI at 7000RPM. I've noticed, however, that depending on gear VS. rpm VS. road speed and load the boost will ramp up to about 27PSI and hold until redline where it will taper off again.... That worried me a little. I have NOT gone past 60% throttle since tuning was complete. Now, with all this added boost and new found power, I am only able to run a degree or two more timing up top tan stock which I am slightly disappointed with but I understand why.
I am planning on doing pistons and valve spring for next summer. I want to do an intercoooler this summer.... Maybe a different turbo after all that. And maybe a REAL catless DP lol. My goal is 400+WHP when all is said and done.
So CobaltSS... Whatcha thinkin'?

Anyone have recent stories or experiences with ringland failure? Only way to tell is dyno numbers and compression and leakdown tests?
Honestly, You're better off lowering your boost and increasing timing, you'll see just as much, if not more power with less boost and be much safer overall. I ran 16* of timing up top @ 18-20psi on 93 octane last summer and saw similar numbers with an almost stock intake/exhaust less a downpipe and K&N drop-in.
As far as 400whp goes, gotta go big(ger) turbo unless you want to run Nitrous/E85 tune. 400whp pushes the K04 way out of it's efficiency range, and at that point you're just creating heat.

When I first got the car, the first thing I did was hollow the cats out and basic HPT tune lol. At the time, the inspection station I went to did visual inspections of the exhaust so I needed it to look factory. Its not like I can't afford the dp, I just never got around to it.
The Dejon piping fits perfectly. I don't have any fittment issues or rubbing on the hood at all.
My previous dyno numbers were with a tune you pretty much described. I was running 17* up top for timing. Maybe my car just dynos low :/
Right now I was just looking for 300+ WHP until the upgrades. Maybe I'll dial back boost just a tad. I got on it in 2nd today and it boosts 23-24 psi. 3rd I saw 25-27 depending on load. Car pulls like a raped ape.
