I mean this is not a fifty dollar part with minor consequences, were talking engine and power destroying knock here
I'm not getting any knock on GMS1. I would go with bad gas or something else is wrong. And I do not pull a 14.0 AF up to 4500 rpms...

And knock isnt just power destorying.....

Unless you are in COT or have a tune on top of the stage 1, it will command and see 0.95-0.93 lambda (14.0-13.8 A/F) from 2000 rpms to 4500 rpms. This is the PE table from the stage tune. It is the same as the stock tunes PE table.

DI is a different animal. Try running a LSJ or any other SMPEFI forced induction motor at 14.0 A/F at WOT and see what happens LOL.

I had it for quite awhile, then I burned the clutch really good and it must've cleaned a layer of glaze off or something. It holds like a beast now Even 5th WOT it holds tight!

Maybe in a few thousand miles mine will hold. My traction control came on in third this morning.

When I was at the track, I tried a 2nd gear burnout on the DR's and that resulted in burning the clutch to death. Which in the end has made it hold GREAT now!

Now that's awesome! That's because of all that cold weather we are having.

Immediately, it was VERY bad!! The pedal just dropped to the floor after the 2nd gear burnout, I just went fuuuucckkkkk.... stuck at the track now

I pulled it off to the side and let it sit for an hour with the hood open, then started it and drove it easy around the pits. Then did some runs and ever since it's been holding awesome!!! Im sure it's only a matter of time before it starts slipping again tho!

Maybe the extreme cold is helping too I dunno. High today in Florida is 44* at noon and it will be dropping after that. Cold as hell for down here. I cannot imagine how cold it must be up North right now.

Gotta love those 4* f mornings! IAT2's in the single digits and no traction. 38 lbs/min flow.

Similar here, single digits in the AM.

The clutch thing happened a month or 2 ago and has been holding strong since!

I guess I need to blow my clutch up then. It slips on all 3rd gear pulls now. Tried one from 70 yesterday and it slipped a few hundred rpm. 24-25 psi pilled up tho.

And Term, I want your tune sooo bad! But then I would probably have to buy a damn clutch & flywheel because I want lots of power, and then I would have to pay you also.

Your my number # 1 choice! And you will definately be able to tune my car. :
When you setup the Kiwi, let us know how well it works. I thought about getting Kiwi and Rev for the iphone, but it was unclear if you could log/graph knock sum and/or knock retard. I sent an email to the Rev folks, and never heard back.

Thanks,

The only thing I experience was little lag on a very cold night at 20 F in NC, but after about 20 minutes of driving my car was able to push 20 psi between 2000-3000rpms easily. I haven't experience any knocking yet with GMStage 1 or any clutch issues in the last five days of installment, but little lag on a cold night hitting 16-17 psi. Not going to keep trying to run my car to the ground just to make sure my psi hits 20 because I'm fixing to dyno the car on Saturday at National Speed to get results with Torque and Hp. I'll post the results when completed.

I think I was running a bad batch of gas... It hasn't knocked since that one tank, and it's still been cold (which it was those nights) and that's it.

The Kiwi Wifi will get a full review & it's own thread sometime very soon. It's awesome! But I don't think it can read knock... I have to explore it more!
