Less boost?

Well guys, I have my car tuned at 24 PSI, Had Mongorat do it a while back, sadly i've had a boost leak for a while, but I fixed that a week or so ago by putting on my charge pipes.

My 24 PSI tune is also including meth, but it hasn't been hooked up because I didn't have enough hose for the way I was running it to make sure it would never hit the ground, well I hooked it up this evening finally and now I only make 22 PSI instead of 24?

Is that right? i'm thinking it is, but im not 100%. Thanks in advance.

The ecm has a specific load setting in it and it'll run as much boost or as little to hit that number, so your boost numbers will vary from time to time based on outside conditions.

Yea, I would think that if you had an aftermarket tune you should be boosting the same...... Hmmm.

Yes, the ECM works on what is called DAL #s (Dynamic Air Loads) all it has to do is acheive those cells. With whatever boost it takes, 24, or 21. It's not just a smash 24 psi all the time.

This is why you (correct me if I am wrong wang) see less boost in the cold air since it's achieving more CFM per lb since the air is more dense.

ECM may be pulling timing and boost due to your meth not being hooked up. If its tuned for meth, im assuming the timing was advanced a bunch, so it may be a failsafe not letting it boost that high due to the lack of "octane". Could be going in the wrong direction here...

If your tune maxed out the DAL table in cooler weather and now the ambients are warmer, it isn't going to make 24 psi with thinner air.

At any rate, you need to get datalogged & fine tuned for the meth.
