LNF 300WHP+ Reliability

How reliable is the LNF with over 300WHP? Like say in between 310-350?

How many people with in between 310 and 350 WHP/WTQ have had problems with their car? Also do you daily drive it or is it just a weekend toy?

I am well over 300 and it's a perfect daily driver... no issues at all. 30+ mpg on the highway!

im sure most issues people would have would be tranny issues. people have enough trouble with the F35 when on an LSJ, let alone a torque monster LNF

I know the lnf is supposed to have 260 torque at 2k but it just doesnt feel like it. Is it because Im under 1000 miles still?

So I assume they are pretty reliable?

I hope they are more reliable then the LSJ was when decently modded.

Tranny is fine - it's the wheel hop that kills them, not the torque, and that is completely managable. The clutch will go before the tranny, so as long as both are stock, I'd worry about that first.

So they have anything to help the wheel hop?

They revised the suspension, which helps reduce it quite a bit at stock power levels, but if you'll be north of 300, you may want to stiffen up the car a little more.

I would say thats true with the LSJ, but it seems like i see a lot of "threw out X gear syncro today" threads started by tuned LNFs

i'm at 305 whp right now with potential for more with the s20g turbo ((north of 375whp)) i'm not tuned yet, but i drive mine everyday, everywhere i go, play rough with it all the time, BUT,,, i dont play rough with my tranny... when i drive hard, i never get on it in 1st gear, too rough, and when i'm smashin it from 2nd gear on up, i take my time placing the gears, so be the reason why I myself have not had any synchro problems... its called having fun while using common sense, oh,,, and,,, its always nice to have a CM stage 4 clutch going north of 300whp..... i love mine, its not as bad as everybody thinks, trust me, i drive the thing everyday, I WOULD KNOW... stage 4 clutches are not that bad, feels like stock when you're just cruisin, on the strip its still easy as hell to handle.

How much are LNF motors anyways?

Building a forged 2.0 would cost what ? MAYBE 2-3K all said and done?

Your not tuned and yet admit to driving your car hard.

the LNF is around $3k new i believe, but it doesnt include the turbo, intercooler, or any other turbo related items. Its just the long block.

There was one for sale on ebay a wile back for 4k with the turbo and CPs. Not that you want the stock CPs.

ok, let me say again,,, I ""OCCASIONALLY"" drive hard, and play rough with it,,, but point is,, i dont shift hard, i take my time to put the gears in place unlike some of these noobs that yank every gear and perform a nice lil grind... so yeah, i do drive hard,,,, ON THE THROTTLE,,, not the gears....
