Changes nothing with the tune, the vcm doesnt look to a boost amount for tuning, it goes by airload mostly. Your RPD will read accurate tho lol.

I bought the VW Bosch 3 bar tmap's and connectors for under $200 and I have the gms1 file to test them with. If they work as planned, gms1 w/3 bar's at a fraction of the price. Obviously not warrantied so don't ask

Edit: and it isnt boost killing the sensor, i ran 30psi thru my original sensors over 10k miles, racing...NLS etc.. Never blew one. I remember reading that the harness rubs the intake mani and rubs thru the wires. Haven't had this issue yet so im not sure if thats true or not.

They dont work with the stock tune. The MAP Sensor Linear value is set to ~270, and these sensors need to be set to ~330. Since the fields for these arent available in HP Tuners, you actually need the GMS1 OS to use the sensors.

I was having one of those days being paranoid and wonder if I wasted my money, but everyday I'm boosting 20-22 psi. I don't think the down learn feature would stop me from going past 15psi. My tires would spin if not warmed up, because the car on a cold start when I put my foot on the pedal with cold tires going past 15psi the tires would spin or wheel hop. So, there is no down learn taking role in this. I was told it still existed, but its hard for me to believe if someone advertised it being disabled like crateenginedepot.com All the GMS1 is did was raised my A/F Ratio up to give me more hp and boost.

What, none of that makes any sense. Speak INFORMED coherent english please. The A/F ratio is the same with the Stage 1 calibration as the stock GM calibration. The car still has the stock desired airloads but a revised max airload torque table, optimum engine torque table, and a few other changes that raise the desired boost level from stock at 205-220 kPa to ~238-250 kPa.

My map sensors had been replaced 5 times before I bought my cobalt (according to the service history). They all say shorted map sensor. And I got a cel on the way home from the dealer lol. So I ordered the stage kit, just waiting to get it installed this spring.

are you talking about the OEM stock sensors going out before installing GMS1?

Yes, the stage kit hasn't been installed yet. Stock besides an AEM intake, but people are saying that won't make a difference. I can't say for sure if it does or not because the car didn't come with the stock intake.
