lnf meth.. is it worth it?
im on the verge of buying the kit right now. its 340 from modernperformance. then i will have to pay 300 for a new tune. plus some labor so im looking close to 700-750 just for meth. i want to get the most out of the stock turbo. but just dont know if i should go through with it.
you mean 50 for an update tune?
not 300.

i guess i was confused before. i didnt realize it was 300 for the hpt/trifecta tune from byt. i have always had trifecta tune on my car and in order for me to get the hpt/tf tune ill have to pay to unlock the car for hpt. i spoke to byt and he said that vince might not give me a agressive tune like i want. so i might have to get the hpt/trifecta because byt will give me what i want. i guess its 300 for the hpt/tf tune or 100 for the tf meth update. i want the most out of this meth setup so ill pay for it if i can get more out of hpt/tf than just tf...
No, I think that is a bad idea. BYT said there isnt enough room in there to put the nozzle somewhere that it dont get the maf wet.
You will be making the right decision.

Yea, you have it right now Pookie. It's $100 for me to flash an updated Meth tune from Vince (which I just emailed him about BTW for you) and then more if you wanted a custom tune from me using HP over your TF tune.
MAF relocate from ZZP just won't work with meth unfortunately! The MAF was getting wet and you could see it was shorting out by the Freq. reading jumping irratically and pegging full at times. Once we put the MAF in the stock location and left the Meth spraying the car reacted like it should. A shame since the relocate pipe really did work well and the car felt stronger with it there too!

Here are some pictres of my meth set up (if it helps)... you can see where we tapped for the nozzle and where the pump and safe inject is located. This is the snow performance kit btw - so your results may vary

Hot pipe is a terrible place for a MAF. Temps can reach 180* or more sometimes and the airflow is turbulent close to the turbo.
but if he needed to relocate...thats the only option if hes using meth.
either that or recirculate.
There really isnt a whole lot you can do with the MAF relocated. Its so close to the TB as is
We put the nozzle RIGHT next to the coupler, so it was like half and half over the MAF, really nothing else we could do there. 50% of the time it was fine, after a couple pulls it was wet enough to effect the reading and run like crap.
Yeah, I can see that if it got soaked with the spray. If I had the spare change I'd try it spraying at the IC outlet for kicks. Charge air might be hot enough to keep it vaporized over the MAF. It'd be ok if it didn't condense on it.
The water vapor and methanol in the air is going to hit the sensor and freak it out. Even if it is fully evaporated the molecules of methanol and water will still hit the MAF and cause the frequency to be artificially high because the sensor believes that the density of the air has changed.
