Lnf Pcm?
Well throughout the week, I drive 4 times. Car stays parked. (lives on campus) then I drive 100 miles on the weekend home. I don't drive very aggresive at all. I do have fun n her though
its cool....they have me driving a trailboring right now...
1 good thing did come out of this, i talk to some tech/s and they said they would help me install my parts. so i am gonna go back up there and talk to them more about it.
Some of them seemed really cool.

I have always modded my cars and have never had any **** from the dealers. Do I run in there and YELL " hey I have a **** load of mods just to let you know" No I don't, that would be just foolish. People like him are NOT the reason people have problems getting warranty work done, people have problems getting warranty work because its a bussiness and there job is to make money. I do have to agree that you have to pay to play and if they decline your claim then its up to you to get the fix. That is the gamble you take. If your dealer is a dick about mods find another one. And for the people that want others vins to report, wow you are tools. That is grounds for a bullet.
You right you are not the guy that said that, I apologize. You were just the guy that wants this site to report these post to dealers.
But look past the cover of the book here. Do you not think that GM or anyone from any dealers do not belong to this site?? If you think not your wrong I know a few.
D4u2s0t has valid points, and you can't blame him for being upset at the kid who caused attention (not the OP). I mean if people weren't as shady as they are, do think dealers would be ??
back on topic and put your guns away. bullets ha ha ha ha ha.....
lol i agree with Mazdaboi318. i have been looking at a few sites that are selling the ecm for like 250 and u send them your vin so they put a foctory tune for your car on them......i am tired of the dealerships. #1 had a cut in the rubber outlet off the turbo with 200, yes 200 miles on my 08ss and they said it wasn't warrenty. #2 cracked upper stock boost tube..again no love there. #3 called about work on my rear brakes hahaha 12000 miles is all they will cover because they are performance brakes....last time i checked the brembos are on the front... so why not get a spare ecm tune it and let them actually fix something on my 5 year 100000 mile warrenty??

i found this place they will put a stock tune on it for no charge or you can order it blank. sounds like a bargain for 250ish shipped http://ecuoutlet.com/index.php?page=...mart&Itemid=57
Ok... lets think about this. I have tossed around getting a spare ECM, I'll admit it. BUT... I got to thinking what the dealer WOULDN'T cover after I get tuned. Ok, i have an oil leak, as many other SS owners do. But, how is that related to a tune, intake, or really ANY other mod? Its not, they will fix it (if not, go to a diff dealer). I have a suspension clunk. Thats not affected by a tune, they should fix it (if not, again, go to a diff dealer).
So, things that may happen when you are tuned... broken axle, yeah, they may not cover it, but you know, it probably broke as a result of hard driving. Bad turbo, should have had a better tune. Blown piston, same thing.
I see no reason not to man up for those reasons. I can't think of a single thing my dealer wouldn't do for me that would otherwise not be a problem caused by the tune.

Scenario #1
You take your car to the dealer for an oil leak. You describe the problem to the service writer and he writes it on the service order. Something gets lost between the service writer and the tech. The tech looks all over the car for a leak. He finds one you didn't even know existed and fixes it. You pick up your car and don't even lift the hood to make sure the work is done. YOU, after all, are the one that knows exactly where the leak is. OR DO YOU?? WHO IS FUCKED UP MORE?? YOU OR THE DEALER??
Scenario #2
You take your car to the dealer and before the service writer says anything you scream "my car has an aftermarket turbo, charge pipes, catless down pipe and 3" exhaust". Tell me. Does that sound reasonable?
OR
Scenario #3
You take your car to the dealer complaining of squeeky brakes and the service writer writes up the service order describing your complains and assigns it to a tech. The tech fixes the squeeky brakes, could care less about anything else because he's only getting paid to fix the brakes. The customer is happy. The dealer is happy and you pay your bill and go on your merry way. Sounds reasonable.
Scenario #4
The customer takes his car to the dealer for an oil change. His buddy comes in and screems "that car has an aftermarket turbo, charge pipes, catless down pipe and 3" exhaust". Good friend. HE GETS TWO BROKEN KNEES!!!!!!!!
I just can't believe the immature, childish comments on some of these threads.
