Lowering Springs, what do you recommend.
please do not put LSJ struts/shocks on an LNF. If you want to get a low drop with looks go with sportlines,h&r's, SSC's, etc, keep the LNF parts they are far and away better, if you want performace but still get "some" lowering go with pedders. As others have said you can have great looking drop but give up some performance or you can have a good looking drop with great performance. If performance is your biggest concern get pedders, if looks and drop are your biggests concern get whatever spring gives the drop and look that you like.

i understand the comparison....but the big difference here between your setup and the what im talking about is......im talking about lnf fe5 struts not koni yellows or fe3 struts. all these springs minus the pedders were all made for the lsj cars and because you can direct swap them right over it seems no companies have cared enough to redo and retest for the lnf cars....h&r springs on the lnf is a no no. if anything i had more body roll on my car and a lot boucier and a lot harsher of a ride. my buddy that bought my springs hsd an lsj on fe5 lnf struts and has the same complaints. the only company to release springs since the lnf really has been pedders. pedders have a higher spring rate no coil bind and give a little drop. they are the best spring out.
I'll say Pedders, I haven't installed them yet, but from what I have heard and have on good authority, they are a 1 inch drop as described and most importantly, don't sacrifice the handling capability. In fact, I plan to compare the two on the track this weekend since it's the last SOLO event for the rest of the year.
I have been going back and forth on pedders for performance or b&g for looks for months now (and will be until i pull the trigger) I have ridden in a TC with the b&g's he lives in colorado and the car rode fine but it was more harsh than normal. the pedders on the other hand will be better when I have to drive the car in the snow in the future if I need a daily driver.
looks or performance you cannot have both with simply springs.

19s are borderline too big on the Cobalt. Some can pull it off, some can't. I'd say if you want more size go with 18s and put a larger sidewall on them. 45 maybe.
haha thats what i have i had intrax on my old cavalier and they were great too but for a daily driver thats not gonna see the track eibach sportlines are the best bang for the buck im gonna do coilovers soon tho still trying to figure out which ones

Why is pedders better than the rest in performance. If it's just ride quality than that's not really a great feature. If pedders adds less body roll, handling etc. than yes I can see it.
if you wanna spend the extra buck..megan racing 36 way adjustable coilovers...i got em on my car and i love em..ride smooth handles well and looks great and being able to adjust ur ride height in a matter of minutes is nice to

I'm sending my stock strut and shock off to get dynoed, and compared to an off the shelf Koni yellow. No more bs.

They're a pretty mild upgrade. I just put Konis on, and they feel great! A much more significant upgrade. I can't believe people on this board are giving them a bad rap based on bias, and a total lack of data.

+1 on that. idk why, but im not a huge fan of a car thats level. i mean, it does look good, but level most likely means the car is mosly for looks, and wont perform as well. the pedders look having the back end up a little more to me looks more aggressive and "natural"
