maf seansor problem

ok so im prety excited i might have just figured out whats wrong with my car. so i was reading on here that your maf on the intake is supposed to have a silicone gasket on it to prevent leaking. so i just had a new one put in cuz i was sure ine went bad. though thats why it was throwing the 101 backfireing loss of power trying to stall and a long list of other crap. but if mine doesnt have the gasket on it. and i havnt taken it to the dyno tuner yet could that be the reason why im getting that code?
cuzz if so then ill be really happy. cz i have been doing tons of **** to it for 2 months now trying to fix this problem. a tune will probably fix everything but i havnt done that yet

dont take it to the dealer. # 1 reaon they are saying that is they do a smoke text/dye test iff applicable. So pressure your system to 22lbs ill say and get some purple power or some soapy water and go from there by spraying everything. turbo, vacuum line, intake, charge pipes. innercoler.

Smoke tester wont find a boost leak. A smoke test isnt done under high pressure lo. A boost leak is exactly what it says a boost leak which is only or usually a pressurized leak.l
