manual boost controller

OK i know most of you will say wait to get a tuner or use a electronic boost controller but i had a manual boost controller laying around from an srt-4 i never bought and i just got my 08 ss/tc and was anxious so i threw it on. Anyway i only turned it up slightly from stock. It is currently at about 21-22 psi max. My question is it spikes to 21-22 then goes back down to 16-17 very quickly. Is this because the wastegate won't hold? I figured as much but was just wondering why it won't hold 21-22 psi all the way through redline. Anyway thank you in advance.

Nobody says get a electric boost controller for the SS/TC.The manual and electronic will work the same.To raise the boost you have to get a tune.

ok i think i will save up for the Hahn PPC tuner. I have been eyeing it for a few weeks and it sounds like a good deal. I was also looking at the HP tuners one but the Hahn seems more for beginners which is definitely what I am.

OK sure man but i will have to wait til tomorrow since it's like midnight. It was actually pretty difficult to set up cuz the vacuum line i tapped into is underneath the turbo which is behind the engine so i had to hook it up from underneath then i ran the vacuum lines all the way to the front of the airbox but for sure i will put up pics tomorrow.
