Methanol Install Suggestions

Waiting on a AIS Stage 1 with the 3 gallon black tank kit to show up

How are you guys installing these

Where are you running the Fluid and electrical?

How far from the TB are you mounting your nozzles?

Any good other tips?

^This.

It's best here. Allows enough time to mix and cool properly in the intake charge when installed there.

I'm excited to get mine!

After reading the info on the AIS site, I'm thinking of installing the nozzle in my ZZP lower CP where the MAF block off plate is a few inches before the TB. Haven't decided yet. I ordered the Comp Underhood kit but it looks like the tank will have to go in the trunk anyway. Looks like the tank is too big to fit in the space between the fender and my intake. We'll see when it arrives Wed. Still debating using the WWF tank too.

If i have to run the Wiring inside the car what would be the issue with running the Fluid Hosing with it inside the car?

Anyone done it this way?

It's just safer to run it outside the car. If there is ever a leak or anything you won't make a mess of the inside of the car. It's got to go outside the car at some point in time, so it might as well be at the back.

I've got the same kit, just waiting to install it when I put on my CP's and intercooler. If it ever warms up that is....

Could always use the washer fluid tank as your supply. But then again, I would rather have a seperate tank for meth anyway.

I saw a couple install pics of the fluid hose that was run inside the car. Either works, but my paranoid ass would rather have it on the outside god forbid a crack or burst happens somehwere along the line.

Another thing I was thinking of is that if you run it under the car, you don't have to tear apart your interior. Wiring goes to the battery in the trunk where the tank and pump will be anyway (assuming thats where you're installing everything), ground to metal, and then just one hole to send the fluid hose through.

Up to you.

if ur running it on the outside, the fluid line, make sure u get 5/8 fuel line and run the high pressure line through that for protection
