Glad to see you're car is good now. I think this spring I am going to buy new coils and keep the originals as spares. The coils aren't that expensive I think they were like 43.00 a piece and were the same coil as used in at least one of the n/a cobalts.

I tried this tonight - about a 1/2 oz out of a 5. something oz bottle for $ 5.99. Expensive stuff !

The line I used was on the intake, closest to the front of the car, and out in the open - no shroud. It had a green spring clamp on it. It definitely pulls some vaccuum as it was stumble city when I did not have my thumb on the end of the piece of hose I used !

I put about 3 capfulls of the treatment in there , revved it some after the line was back on, and shut it down. We shall see how it does tomorrow, or Monday on the ride in to work.

A picture of the line you, and others have used, would be beneficial but I am hoping since mine went directly into the intake it will work.

I am at 6200 or so, BTW - seems like I first noticed a pronounced power los/ stumble around ~ 4200 , right after I gassed up. I attributed that to bad gas at the time.

I have not felt a duplication of that symptom since then, but the car seemed a little slower and less torquey since then as well.

I figured 6 bux was better than a trip to the dealer - I'd prefer to avoid that where possible - kind of a personal car goal. Last Saturday did not count as I was having the charge pipe recall taken care of, and had the tires rotated while there.

Can anyone supply a pic of this mystery hose ?

Thanks !

Britt

You can use either one. I used Number 1 just cause i thought it would get to all 4 ports evenly . But it's a small opening so if you need a bigger one number 2 is larger. When i did it ....I used it like seafoam ....let the engine suck in the fuel system treatment and shut the car off for 5-10 minutes . Then start the car and go for a drive. Mine smoked pretty bad ..... there was alot of carbon smoke for a mile or so.
