Motor bad already!!!!
I would put an oil pressure gauge on the motor to see if the pressure is too low at idle. There could be an issue with the oiling system allowing oil pressure to bleed off unless the RPMs are increased.
Also, you need to determine if the noise is louder or quieter with rpm and with/without load. Also, rule out the flywheel if possible.

Maybe try tossing it on a dyno and stand next to it... you might be able to hear it better that way. But as everyone said already, if you spun a bearing, its an oiling issue. If you take it in and they find out you ran the wrong oil, your screwed. They wont warranty it.
