the ss/tc is 2.5, it does sound pretty damn good too. I did it to a friend's t/c and it sounds like a much raspier srt-4 (not like a truck but it gurgles like the neon)

welding on a new muffler should be too much money. and almost the same amount to take it back off again.

i would cut it out and drive it for a while. if you dont like it it should be less than 100 bucks to put one back on.

it's not a big deal...go to pep boys get a 2 foot length of 2.5", cut out your stock muffler, cut off the excess, grind off the stock tip and hangers and weld it back on. use a clamp if you want for the whole extension. you also have the opportunity to extend the tip a little bit to make it flush with the rear lip, that was my favorite part about doing dunit's muffler delete.

um...if you have a welder that is lol

Yah I should be all set on how to do it. I just wanted to make sure it was 2.5" piping. Im taking it into the shop I work at tonight to swap the snow tires on, and was thinking about doing it while I was in there.

Yah. Were not a muffler shop though, we do all work, so we dont keep much exhaust stuff in stock, just order when needed. So I just wanted to make sure I had the right size to order because Im going to stop and get some on the way to the shop.
