Need help, no boost P0299
Need help, no boost P0299
I need some help for my friend with his SS TC.
For sometimes now he have big problems getting the car to work fine, his father is a tech at GM and make the work on the car for him, and they cant get it to work... lol
He got P0299
ill try to copy what he described to me...
He has 2 problems,
1.His car will not boost higher than 80 kpa (stock 110kpa) when he go WOT,
and if he keep it WOT it will boost down to 20kpa. and start pulling the code P0299
2. when cruising it will put a CEL for the MAP and another one i think he said fuel trim...
he also said when he get the P0299, the MAP will fail soon after that...
It all begun when he had the trifecta tune, he had the 20 psi tune, everything was fine, when i got an update on my tune (to change the activation button...) he got an update for 24 psi. But i was quicker than him with my 22 psi tune...
he also had an intake with the update but i dont think he told vince about the intake...
Things he tried with his father:
- Remove Injen intake=fail
- Reflash stock = fail
- Get GMS1 = fail
- get a new PCM= fail
- Reinstall GMS1=fail
- Get a new turbo= fail
- Leak test= fail nothing leaked.
I think thats about it...
He will go check to make sure of the other code and he will get back to me so i can give everything in detail.... his father is in contact with a GM engineer from what he said now...
But i know some here know them very well and might be able to help...
