I was working on my friend's modded Jetta GLI, only a 1.8 Turbo but oh man, he had one for a bit, and I swear that thing was as loud as a Harley... quality of the sound though = not good.

The quiet sound of my LNF is the one thing I dislike. How loud is the car in comparison to say a GMPD catback {performance} exhaust on the SC?

Is this a straight pipe all the way back? I would like more deatils in exactly what you are running, I like the sound and if it's not "too" loud to draw too much attention on the road I may do the same. How do you keep it from throwing codes? thx

its like open downpipe... theres a cutout on the downpipe lol you will get attention but with my setup i can put a cap on the cutout and it sounds normal..

 

Have any pics of the cutout? Does this give you anymore power or simply a sound mod? How does it not throw codes? Sorry for the dumb questions...

 

I'm going to have to disagree with everyone on here...I don't like the way it sounds. I run my car open dp and I don't even like the way it sounds with the big turbo...I need an exhaust...When I had my 2.5" catback on my car sounded like a wrx

to memphisr24... i have an aftermarket 3'' downpipe... so if you have a stock... its gonna sound diff...

you have a SS/SC????? they need the exhaust... the LSJ will sound Diff than the LNF........
so if yours is the lsj dont even try to compare yours to mine... mmk thanks

I have a garrett gt3076 sitting in the back of my engine compartment....Yes it is a ss/sc but with a turbo =) and yes it does sound different...my car is a mixture of noise and a slight wrx sound...yours is just like....noise...i'm just saying I personally don't like it...No need to get all offended

I don't have any...i'll see if I can get some but because I work 7 days a week, don't count on it haha..I haven't even drove my car in a good 2 weeks

 

Has downpipe and 3in cat and 3in straight pipe all the way back 5in tip.
Love the sound very nasty sounding. Just got it done.
Was running strt dump under the car for a week. Way to loud and exhaust gas in the car. Had to run with the windows down.
Best part is the wastegate and bvalve. Love the spool up sound.
Will be getting a audio later today.
