he uses a fidanza fw. but idk, this is his 2nd spec clutch. they replaced his first one cuz we thought it may have been bad but the new one does the same thing... what are the odds that both would be bad? anyway as for the exedy, its a PITA to drive in traffic thats for sure. but my cobalt isnt a DD, its just my toy.

I was looking through the shop manuals to see if the flywheel dia was different on the 2.2, but no luck on those specs. I was thinking it may have less surface area and can't hold as much torque, IDK.

I know a lot of people don't care for SPEC, I think if I were to do it over I'd keep the LNF 45 lb stock flywheel on it and get the ZZP Stage 4 clutch. The LW FW is a PITA until you get used to it. I still kill it once in a while in traffic.

I'd never buy a Spec clutch. I have a buddy who had one in his 05 GTO. It exploded shortly after being professionally installed and broke/ruined his engine block. Spec refused to warranty the parts even though it was proven to be defective. He finally had to sue them in court to get reimbursed.
