no, i have nothing to check that with right now.

based off of looking, the exhaust came out of the intake valves when they opened and went into the #4 cylinder, which is why 3 & 4 were misfiring like mad. 1 and 2 very little to no soot whatsoever.

1 and 2 only have 1 exhaust rocker, 4 has both, so thats probably why the exhaust gas rerouted to 4.

also explains why my map sensor went bad instantly.

also when i had to drive the rest of the way home (so painful) there was no smoke and my afr's were crazy. theyd go normal ish when the car wasnt misfiring, then go really lean once it was misfiring. the misfiring was due again, to the exhaust in the intake manifold.

so far the last things to do is a compression test and to inspect the cylinders, which i dont have the tools for without removing the head (would like to avoid removing the head if i can)

im willing to bet on a higher compression motor, such as a k20, you would blow your piston rings when both exhaust rocker arms fall off.

looks like a really good seafoaming is in order once i get new rocker arms installed.

also i took out the lash adjusters and they all appear undamaged.

keeping fingers crossed that my bottom end is ok and my compression is ok.

so how do you do a compression test? lol. never done it.

I'm still worried about your engine. You have to think, by the time your exhaust has exited through the intake, your engine is on the completely wrong stroke....just because it exited through your intake doesn't mean you're safe. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, man. I hope it works out as just the rockers being off though and that your rings are fine.

Make sure you check your valves on the ones with the bad rockers...but if the valves are f'd up, you'll know when you do a comp. test.

Oh God.. 6 pages.. I ain't reading all of that lol
However, I know that sound, but yours is worse. You have at least 2 rockers lying around on the top of your head, but I would guess 3. You also have a blown map sensor, which I think you mentioned. You will need upgraded springs at the very least and most likely new lash adjusters to replace the broken/damaged ones. I had mine fixed once under warranty at the dealer, but it went again a month later with no over-revving so I attributed that to the valvetrain being weakened from the first over-rev.. same damn thing you did too btw. I upgraded to a ported ZZP stage 1 head.. it's pricey, but it's well worth it. Your bottom end is probably ok, and actually your valves are probably okay too.. it sounds worse than what it really is.. just keep your fingers crossed lol. I had to finish mine off the first time so I purposely popped that 2nd lash adjuster to make the CEL come on so GM would even look at my fkn car; I think the 2nd one fried my Map sensor as well and that's most likely what threw the CEL. They're retarded around here lol.
I also thought my engine was fubar.. but it's 95% just your valvetrain.. there is a small chance you fried a valve but I doubt it.
Good luck dude

your pretty on to what happend. i had 4 rocker arms laying around and 0 broken lash adjusters. both exhaust rocker arms were off so i was misfiring like crazy. the exhaust would vent out of the intake valves when they opened and flow into cylinder 4 because its the only one that has both exhaust rocker arms.

the exhaust in the intake mani fried my map sensor.

so far so good, i took her out for a good cruise and she runs good. i still gotta do a compression test tho.

Sorry guys, I just got a red cross message, my mom in law is in the ICU. she has bacteria in her blood and blood clots in her kidneys and liver.

If its not one thing its something else.

Anyway im going on emergency leave now.

Ill get a compression test done later, I just have different priorities now.
