Overheating Issues! Any Suggestions?!?!

so i finally get my car up and goin again, car has 16g ported and coated turbo, zzp valve springs, lil port work on the head, catless dp, 3in exhaust, upper charge pipe and poor man CAI lol the build went back together fine machine work and all clearances were great, the bottom end is stock on this block so im not worried bout the head or block being warped or timing being off. I had did the Anitfreeze procedure correct like everybody else said to do it fill the upper radiator hose up first then add to the rest of the system, then i turned it on and turned the heater on and filled the remaining coolant up which took a total of 2 gallons and ran it with the top off for quiet a while and it never took anymore.

The car started this problem not to long ago i had disconnected the A/C lines during the swap so the first week of driving it the car never got above 205* well when i had put the Freon in the car and started running the A/C while driving the car would settle around 195-199* then climb up to about 210-215* one time it got to 219* but i immediatly turned it off, but its only done that once, when it gets to 210 ill usually turn the A/C off and it goes down to around 199-205* and settles around there while driving. The one time it got to 219 i took the coolant cap off and let the pressure out and never got hot after that again once it cooled down.

Anybody got any suggestions on whats goin on maybe Thermostat or air bubble in the system or Radiator, my car sat for 9 months during the build so im wondering if the radiator got something in it, but i mean the coolant is clean lol my car still has full warranty so i know somebody that could help me out in the case of something small just lookin to see if maybe i could fix it cuz i hate the wait on the dealer lol

Thanks!!

My fan temp is at stock settings I haven't gotten with my tuner yet to lower the settings but that was one of my ideas, my biggest concern is the thermostat, that's the only thing I can think of too

I'd keep checking the radiator for air pockets and keep trying to burp the system.

After that, I would recheck the thermostat and see if it's sticking or even backwards.

Last resort... could be water pump.

Not meaning to threadjack, but I have a similar issue with mine. At idle it will sometimes reach 210. When im cruising it is fine, When I do pulls it will sometimes hit up to 220. And yes I can hear my fans kick on.

any special way on makin it burp other than running it with the cap off completely?? the thermostat was never removed from this block so im not too worried about it being in backwards. True im hoping its not the pump but on the other hand im at 42,300 miles and still have my 100,000 5 year warranty)

I would try and get the car angled so it forces the air pocket up and out towards the cap.

It might even be some debris in the cooling system cloggin it up.

Also, when you refilled it. Did you do the 50/50 mix or just go straight coolant?

Its supposed to be a 50/50 mix, and 219 isn't exactly overheating, when you hit 250f then you can start worrying.

70% Dex/30% water is the best anti freeze & anti corrosion protection. Add some RedLine Water Wetter also. 100% Dexcool is FTL.

As I said earlier. Use a cleaner filtered water. Like distilled or something.

Your temps aren't crazy, but they will be normal if you run 50/50. Which is what you should run when coming up on winter.
