ive had the tank bypass done for while now, but i finally bypassed the entire solenoid a few days ago. as anyone noticed their car kinda like, idk, wavering at light throttle around 40mph or so? rpms seem steady, the boost gauge doesnt fluctuate either, but i noticed the AFR bounces around alot. but only at this speed and the light throttle condition an def causing a back and forth rocking motion in the car. WOT throttle feels great and holds boost till redline with steady afr.
I have the trifecta dual tune, the car does it in stock and perf mode. put the solenoid back in and the fluctuation and thus the rocking stopped. i gotta datalog the car while its doin this and send it to vince, he's been awesome tuning my car

I tried the .035 for a day or two but when it exceeded 30 psi, I took it out.

Never got back to trying an .045, I have one, it's just so hard to get to it from the top or bottom.

Tuned for 22 PSI gets me 35 MAF lb/min flow. I'm happy with that for now. The harder you work the turbo, the greater the chance of blowin' it up. If you get 24 PSI, let me know.
sounds like a good way to break something. why not just tune it where u want it, or put in a boost controler?

thats what I am doing .. I am not sure I want to use the pill

I am at 5600 FT elevation and my PSI drops to 20 PSI / sometimes 15 in 3rd around 6000 RPMS and this only started to happen after a catless DP and charge piping due to the fact the car is moving more air efficiently . the car is faster but a boost controller and over boost is really more managable then a welding tip but the welding tip is obviously a lot more cost effective ..

(Pill Mod vs No Pill Mod)

The funky swirls are the clutch slipping, with the pill you can guarantee in certain situations the clutch WILL slip!!

While there are def some peak gains, the biggest improvement is the almost 50whp gain thru the mid range!!

So, this "mod", if your tuned you put a welding tip in some pipe, and you get more boost, and when your done with tuning & timing, you actually make power? WOW! That's pretty cool, but I have NEVER heard of it in my life.

go to the first post. There is a picture of the line that you put the welding tip in. Jack up the front of your car and than get under it to basically just forward of where the passenger feet would go. You'll see where your intake goes into the turbo. You'll see a black "box" with an electrical connection and 3 vacuum tubes going into it. Just take off the vacuum tube from the bottom of the compressor side of the turbo (thats where the intake ends at). Either get a new vacuum line or cut the vacuum line you removed about 1-1.25" and place the smooth end of the welding tip in as far as you can. With the roughly 1" piece "thread" it onto the threaded side of the tip. The 2 separate pieces of tube should act as one now. Use a clamp and place it so it is directly in the middle of where you cut the tube. Clamp it down and than replace. Use caution if you try the 0.035" tip, you may overboost and peg the boost gauge at 30PSI. If so you will most likely go into limp mode. If so just cycle the engine on and off 3 times (i also open and shut the door everytime) and it will clear.

You will also need to disable codes or you will never get a full pull in.

You didnt have all the codes turned off yet...

But 5th WOT is a bad idea anyway. Will make 400ish wtq and will just melt the life out of your clutch!!

Without hptuners this mod won't do you any good, all the people in this thread talking about this mod have hptuners. This really should of been pointed out in the original post.

You're talking about the Desired Air Load table right? being able to ramp that up to keep more boost on the tail end of the rpms?

I am tuned with HP Tuners. A 3rd gear pull this morning was 24psi midrange and only fell to 22psi at 6200...kinda odd. One time it drops the next it doesn't.

Depends on what gear you were in. In 1st or 2nd it drops the boost quite a bit to redline but 3rd and 4th hold pretty solid for me!

I think it would be easier to hold most boost up high if you dal's were cranked up and with the help of the pill.

Do you have a log of both instances?
