whats the point of having a ported tb? will it give any gains?

 

the point? the point of parting anything is to polish out the metal some.....this smoothing of the metal surface allows more air to flow through it thereby increasing power. but the gains from a ported throttle body alone would be pretty low. couple hp if you are lucky. it's not like TB are exactly rough to begin with...
