Pyschosteve TUNE HELPPPP
Pyschosteve TUNE HELPPPP
I am trying to get a hold of Pychosteve or another tunner in arizona with hptuners...I sold my SS and now have a 2008 avalanche 6.0 and want to tune it...anyone please have any info or thoughts....thanks
Easy as cake to tune a 6.0 avalanche. Just go read up buy an hpt standard kit used for a couple hundred. Get two credits and you can tune it. The ls series iron block motors can take a lot. As long as you don't add an outrageous amount of timing and lean it out. Prob would be better to get hpt pro tho so you can make your wideband input into the hpt scanner data logging program. I personally have tuned without a wideband which is okay for a street tune with limited timing and fueling changes and no power adders. But the most power can be achieved with using a wideband
u dont want a pyskosteve tune... I had one, had lots of issues and made more power with other tuners. I have a hp tuners but I dont tune. NicD tunes most of the LS motors here in az. Im looking to possibly tune my escalade to try and get better mpg's
Didn't know they put the 6.0 in the avalanche... As far as local HP tuners I don't think there are any around anymore.. Best bet is to drive up to phx an have it tuned by Nic D
I live in phoenix now..id rather just pay someone to tune then purchase it all. As far as the car swith I love it..grew out of the car needed something a bit more..miss the mpgs though..went from high 20's to 15
my buddy has an Avalanche 2500 with a 8.1L....... BOSS, straight piped with cherry bombs it sounds badass!
Yeah. I rarely ever check this forum. I haven't been on here in over a year. And haven't been very active on the site in 3-4 years.
NicD knows the GM V8s really well. His real name is Nick Desjardin. You can get his contact info by calling AzDynoChip. That is one of the shops that he uses the Dyno at often.
He usually doesn't take phone calls and will only communicate by email. He gets too many inquiries by lookie-loos to talk to everyone on the phone. Also, expect his prices to be high, and for good reason.
I have been contracted to do tuning exclusively for another company and have been operating under that for a long time. We have been doing what we call Virtual Tuning, which is where we send out a cellular device with a USB to OBD-II cable and tune remotely through an IP connection. Pretty neat. Means I don't have to travel as much as I used to, but business is slower too.
Been looking to get into Hyundai/Kia tuning as well as some other stuff.
