Exclamation Question about my car bogging at 5500RPM

I just got done picking up my brother form his job after driving for a good 8-10 minutes on the road. I was going to do 6000RPMS in 1st gear and, but my car started to bogg at 5000-5500 RPMS and won't go pass 5500 RPMS on the first try. My exhaust started popping and backfiring a little, but my CEL never came on. I did it the 2nd time and got my RPMS going past 5500 RPMS to hit 6000 in 1st gear. 3rd time it repeated itself from the first time it happen. I have the stock exhaust along with the ZZP catless DP with 9000 miles on the vehicle. Should I be concern or should I get some cleaning solution, or something? This is the first time I accounted this. I don't know if this has to deal with the weather raining the last 4 days in Southeast North Carolina or carbon build up in the exhuast system possibly.

I've experienced something similar to this when I've been driving in the rain. I actually took a data log of it and sent it to Vince to check it out. Are you tuned?

with the GMS1 right now. this is probably could be due to weather and moisture since we been receiving heavy rain like the last 4 days and tomorrow should be sunny again. I don't know if I should grab seafoam with 9K on the vehicle, but I'll see what happens tomorrow when it warms up again. I recently gotten a state inspection and emissions done in my state with no issues and end up passing with the mods I have on right now.

It's caused by rain, it may take a day or two to clear up. If you want to speed up the process, stay under 4500 rpm and pull about 10lbs of boost off and on for 10 or so miles.

You can accumulate condensation in the intercooler during high humidity periods, then when you boost, it blows into the engine. I've seen it a bit after my MAF relocate to the lower CP, it can really screw with the MAF freq when water hits it in my case.

after and before work my car started to go past 5500 RPMS without any bogging issues this time around. so yeah weather played part of it because we were hit by heavy rain the last 4 days going 11 inches to 22 inches of rain, which set a record history in my area.

Not sure about the rain because I live in a desert, but I would check to see if any codes were thrown. If you don't have a code reader you can go to autozone or whatever and they will check it for you. Come back to the forum with the code and I'm sure someone can tell you what it means. If it did throw a code that is.

On* can read codes too. I think the CEL light has to actually be on though.

You passed emissions w/ a catless dp on? Was it a lick and stick? I wanna get a catless but i don't know if it would pass inspection.

Before i was tuned my catless DP would have passed nys inspection ..... it didn't set a code very often . Once in a great while it would pop a P013e but it eventually stopped throwing that all together . As long as u get an angled o2 bung you will be fine ..... unless they do a visual inspection .

Talking

My state is a joke when it comes to emissions. All they do is take the OBDII device and check to see all your emission sensors are wokring. I found that out on the NCDMV website and . They don't do visual thank God or smog test like California would, so at least I don't have to go under the car and change it and do it again for another year. This happen at the actual dealer I bought my vehicle from. The mechanics know I have it and still passed with the OBDII device, except one problem is I can't get it write off because its too early to do my state inspection, which is gay, but at least I know I will pass without unbolting anything I have on right now.

Does your car hit a wall at 5,500? Does it flutter at that rpm and won't climb anymore? You got full boost?

I'm not repeating myself. Go read the forum again. I'm not having the abnormal issue with 5000RPMs in 1st gear. I run past that all day if I want to run hard with full boost in 2nd and 3rd.
