Random Misfire

I need help toubleshooting. My car has not thrown any CEL's and my gauge is showing intermittent misfires. At times there are misfires with hesitation, pop from the exhaust, and times with nothing but the gauge indicating a misfire. I put stock plugs back in and still the same issue. Cleaned the maf, didn't help. A week and a half ago, I had the oil leak by the high pressure fuel pump fixed(cam position sensor). I haven't noticed any misfire issues up until that point. Also, I put in the Forge BPV about the same time. Any ideas on what else I should check out before I give up and take it to the dealer. No gaurantees they'll find the problem either.

The thing is that I've been tuned for a while and just noticed it happening a few days ago. I guess I could log it and have Vince take a look to see if he has any ideas.

Ok, on my way home from work I was watching my gauge and it showed multiple misfires on all cyl. There were up to seven of them one time before it reset. Also, my engine seems to be running hotter than usual at 200-205 degrees F. The temps normally run at 192 degrees. Ambient air was 23 degrees.
Any ideas?

I have seen the random ghost misfires on 3 ss/tc's that two had interceptors one had dashhawk. My car does it moslly on startup doesn't matter if flashed back to stock tune or not, it was always random cyl. If it was a lot only in one cyl or enough to set a cel then I would worry about it. One of the auto x guys here says he has less with one step colder plugs, I have tried 3 different kinds of plugs made no difference on mine. I think they all do it just nobody watches for it all the time once I started watching it I noticed it. Then I set it to monitor total misfires and also how many per cyl. I have never felt any either if misfires were severe in a car you usually feel them chug a little when it happens. I think c.millers car has it also If I remember correctly I think he mentioned it was at a lower rpm just when you shift from 2nd to 3rd was when my car did it sometimes also. Also Term and I am broke I have seen mention it also. Another thing is I do not think no matter how tight you get the stft's did not eliminate it either. I have not monitored it since having the cat warm up delete to see if it reduced them on startup or not.

The random ghost misfires I have had in the past had no hesitation or pop from the exhaust, That suggests yours are real. I have not heard of anyone else having problems from the forge bov. Did you put the green I think it was spring in? Some have problems with the heavier dejon spring or the forge heavier spring whatever color that was? Weird it started at same time as you installing it though. I have been thinking about getting that forge also.

I have felt it hesitate or chug at least twice, that is why I started monitoring them. I never noticed it before. Maybe I am some kind of hypochondriac. I'm gonna try a few things tomorrow, even though they may be futile. Yep, green spring.

Picked some up on the way home from work tonight, on my list of things to try. I put some injector cleaner in it on my way home as well. Just want to use the seafoam in the IM.

Did you rev really high in the RPM range at any point before this issue?

Haven't experienced any more hesitation. I did seafoam and put in new plugs, but the gauge still reads random misfires. Vince told me nothing to worry about unless I throw a code. Off topic: My car runs great now that I replaced my slave cyl. that was installed with my new clutch in Feb. I spent an additional 832.00 to replace a slave cyl. that was 2 months old. Dyno Day is next Sat., I get to see what I'm putting down without any slippage this time.
