Revised BNR 2871
#4
its a fun turbo so far. I'm actually not taking full advantage of the turbo due to the fact that I got a defective GM 3bar map sensor. Got a new one now just have to re-up on a re-tune.

Bnr2871 doesn't need any Mods besides the BOV.
But the turbo does come with copper gaskets and the spacer. I never used the Copper Gaskets. (These are a fail. and will leak in time) I just ordered two GM Factory "Turbo To Manifold" Gaskets and they seal like a dream..
The 415whp Tune was 27psi. Aka full blown Race tune for just pump gas. NOT a DD Tune

You know, I have heard about this upgrade and currently my engine is out of the car being built. I wonder if I could just send this in to BNR?? I bought my 2871 from DDMWorks as a kit(w/BOV and charge pipes/intercooler). Who should I contact Team SS?

Bryan is a Good Friend of mine.
But for the $300 upgrade, Just Call BNR Supercars @ 205-640-1193
Or go to Bryans Website here @ bnrsupercars.com and send him a Email about the Upgrade.
And he will tell you all you need to know about having it shipped to him and such

I really enjoyed the BNR. Was a lot of fun on E47/E85. Only thing is that for the money, the ZFR is a better deal. Only way I'd buy a BNR at this point is if it were used and a sweet deal.

One thing that I must point out(and this goes for all bolt-on's). I advise that if you are going to get the BNR/ZFR you need to have your exhaust mani ported as much but safely as you can. Remember, the stock mani is restrictive and putting a turbo that is pushing more air through it requires that at the same velocity you get that air out. If not you can cause internals to heat up in a not so good way.
I personally have taken my exhaust mani and had it ported and portmatched for better flow. Did my machinist hate me for it, YES! and i quote "Hey 40rty, so this manifold ******* christ, is it made of kryptonite, **** you bro"
There is nothing wrong with opening up the exhaust side of the engine, its the intake side that I suggest simply port matching.
