Sounds kinda funny doesn't it?
Cobalt SS with a dead exhaust valve... - YouTube
Whats wrong with this picture?

Been trying to find the issue of my subie exhaust/reduced power and discovered the left exhaust valve on cylinder 1 was missing a roller on the rocker. I knew something blew up when I found needle bearings in the head hiding in a corner. I'm amazed I didn't notice this last week. Pretty sure the bearings had been bad on the rocker for a while to cause the roller to just completely disappear, but that could have been my ticking I had been hearing in boost. I know I didn't hear it anymore when the subie sound appeared and I'm guessing that's when the roller left the rocker.

The original owner shifted at 7krpm. I did the rocker in by NLSing at 6800rpm the other night.

Hope my rocker comes in before then. I looked at it and thought it was the lash adjuster before but its getting replaced anyways. I would replace everything but this is just to hold me over til I drop everything on the subframe and
do my clutch. Should make it quite a bit easier to get in time when the new head goes on.

True... My Flywheel and Clutch is in mine and ready to go... Just can't shift into any gears at the moment. Soon as I get my cables I'll be up and running again. If you tear into that thing yourself let me know and I'll come help.

Alright man. Will do! Prob doing it about 2 miles from where you're getting your clutch put in. A friend of my buddy and I owns a 5 car garage with 4 lifts and even the jack to lower my subframe.
