Rods/Wiseco pistons
Bought them.
Who has put them in without pulling the entire motor?
Please share your experience.
I have been informed that it can be done. Should I expect issues with my motor afterwards?
Any success stories?
Thanks.

Yes it can be done. I wouldnt call all the ones Ive done "success stories" as that kind of implies its sketchy or risky, its just the way you do it . Its MUCH longer process to replace piston/rod by taking engine out. Will there be issues?......only if you **** it up
Take the engine out and do it right. Cylinders need honed at the least. Clean everything good. Use new bearings also. Their only $60 . Are you doing anything to the head ? Might as well do the valve springs while you do the short block. How many miles on the engine ? Put a new front cover which comes with oil pump on if it has hi miles. Check your timing components for wear. ETC ETC.
i have done it many a times with customers cars when we were installing oem stuff. I personally wouldnt do it on mine without at least honing the cylinder walls. Its really the cheap and lazy way to go about it
