I use royal purple on my car... tbh i don't notice a difference between it and mobil1...

the only reason i use RP and not mobil1 is because i get it for 4 dollars a qt tho

i used it in my last 2 cars as well.. no difference from that and mobil1. i think it's all the same **** lol...

I ran RP in my car since 21k miles with no problems. Not the racing oil just the regular RP for gasoline cars. I'm currently at 88k miles 2 years later and the motor runs fine.

Not a big fan personally. Maybe it was the price, maybe my car doesn't need it, but to me my car just sidnt feel right with it. Seemed to start hard. Idk if it had to many friction modifiers for my low pressure n/a engine or what. But between gut feeling and price I went back to mobile-1. It could be just that's what I'm used to.

Sorry, didn't realize I was in the LNF forum... lol

I have used Royal Purple for years and have had 0 probs. the test in the Video proves that it is the Best oil out there, and when used in combo with Z-Max you can't go wrong. yes it is not cheap, but you get what you pay for...

I heard about that, but unless they did a UOA I wouldnt be so sure, unless Gabe went to the track a bunch those two weeks I just don't see oil causing a turbo to destroy its self that quickly, unless he has the race oil not the gasoline API approved for regular driving oil. The race oil has different life properties than just change at 3000miles. Do you know which Royal Purple he used?

All the people I see talking bad about RP probabally don't even know what a UOA is, let alone have one done !
I sell both RP and M1 and both are about the same price.

I switched to RP, and blew out the side of a piston due to oil ignition that same night. After I replaced the engine with my current ZZP engine, I run Mobile 1 High Mileage, being Mobile 1 and having the higher ZDDP content over regular Mobile 1.

Those that are talking about V8s, SS/SCs, etc. need to consider that the heat and pressures inside the engines are quite different. A 6L V8 putting out 400hp doesn't have nearly the same cylinder heat and pressures as say 2L turbo 4-banger putting out 400hp.
