You got to tune, because if you put on any mods before tuning your car wont see any gains you have to tune first.

Where in NY are you? I;m in Jerz and theres a Sick tuner in NJ that every1 go's to.

$400 for the 1st dyno tune and like $60 a pop after that for any retuning after you oput on mods. The #'s he got from stock SS/TC's was SICK!

I got mine tuned at Nolimitmotorsports. They are on Long Island, Suffolk County. I have no mods except the tune. Results are 300.5whp and 338ft lbs. tq. The car was very fast stock but now it is unbelievable. They difference is extreme for just a tune. Get a tune and you'll mop the floor with your friend but run him from 2nd gear. 1st and 2nd go up in smoke if you put it to the floor.

Your friend must have gotten you off the launch and held ground til 120. I used to own an 01 GT with exhaust and intake, but it doesnt compare to my 08 SS/TC. Yeah the torque down low gets you off the line quick, but the older 2v's fall on their face IMO about 80-90mph. I also have an 05 Mustang GT with a few mods, and it doesnt fall on its face at all I dont think, and it beats my 08 SS/TC with ease from a dig and roll. If you want just some basic mods go ahead and get an intake and downpipe and then a tune.

Yep you are right. I used to own a full bolt on 99 GT and the TC is actually a little faster even stock. Get it tuned!!! It will seem like a conpletely different car. There is very little you will have to adjust after you buy all the bolt on mods probably richen the PE fueling a little and be on your way. My car made 307 whp on tune alone stock right down to the airfilter. I have an intake now and Hahn downpipe and a 3" catback on order. I will be getting the tune touched up after i install those parts. Traction will be an issue after you get tuned though. I cannot hookup on the stock contis at all in 1st. or 2nd at WOT.

I loved my 01 GT, but it was time for something new. I wanted to build it up, slap on a KB with some 315's out back, but wasnt looking to spend $4000+ just for 350whp or so. That and I have my 05 GT I wanna mod, so the SS/TC was right up my alley.
