I can't remember who asked about this, but someone asked about a tech bulletin about the coldside piping rubbing on a bolt, possible causing a boost leak. Well, I finally found a lot of my old pics, as you can probably tell. I hit a raccoon a few months ago and the dealer found a hold in my coldside piping. I don't have a pic of the old piping, but I have a pic of their "fix." They basically removed the bolt that was rubbing the piping. Pretty cool huh?
I was shocked to find that this was their remedy for this. I have since installed a shorter bolt so that it holds, but does not stick up through the frame and rub the coldside piping. Be sure to check your car if you have stock piping.
This is the bolt they removed, on the passenger side, near the radiator.

I put a red circle where it rubbed the piping.

I can hear it already:
Bud: "Hey, Hank. See this bolt here? It's rubbin' that there pipe, and makin' a hole."
Hank: "No bolt, no rub. Take 'er out, Bud."
Bud: "You don't think there needs to be a bolt there?"
Hank: "Naw. Less parts, less problems. That's what I always says. Owner'll never know the differnce."
